Utopia

this is a post i wrote 2 years but decided to reproduce it in the face of the crisis facing our dear country.

Utopia; defined as an imaginary country that has a perfect political and social system.
To me its.......
When my phone beeps to warn me of low battery and PHCN doesn't cross my mind.
And when I approach a checkpoint without checking the glove compartment for loose change.
And when the police officer meets me with a smile and sends me on my way with a smile on mine too.
And when the toilets in school don't smell like the garbage truck.
And when the all the traffic lights are functional.
And when all road users obey traffic laws and respect speed limits.
And when I drive from Bauchi to Abuja without seeing a crushed Opel Vectra with mangled dead bodies.
And when its okay for kanuri to marry Igbo and Efik to marry Fulani.
And when a fuel queue become's a myth.
And when the Almajiri is only found on the pages of historical documents.
And when Internet services become affordable to the masses.
And when the NTA studio stops looking like CBS of the 1940's.
And Nigerian politicians stop promising to sink borehole's when elected.
And when Bottled water replaces satchet water.
And when University students spend more time in school than @ home ,
And when the Niger Delta become's a Dubai.
And when our refineries work at full capacity without breaking down.
And when ritual killings become a thing of the past,
And when the foreigner sees the average Nigerian not as a 419er.
And when we stop importing every single thing from Asia.
And when all I have do to get to Lagos is hop on a bullet train.
And when Nigerian's stop writing their will's before boarding an aircraft.
And when medical students pass through school without paying their way through.
And the Engineering students truly understands Fluid mechanics.
And when Educated (mark me, I mean educated) people are elected to positions of leadership.
